#2 is baking

Postby HisLadybug » Mon Apr 06, 2015 11:33 pm

Since I'm up eating a snack (haha) I thought I'd share the news - I'm 17 weeks pregnant. :D

Some of you will remember I had gestational diabetes with my first which was stressful and required insulin but ended with a vaginal birth and a 6lb12oz baby so things turned out well. My doctors are fantastic this time around as well and keeping a close eye on my sugars. I'm also able to tolerate a wider range of healthy foods and have managed to gain less weight thus far.

I feel very blessed to have such a fantastic care team of doctors/midwives/nurses who look after me but don't patronize me. It's a HUGE blessing. I've had peace from the beginning that God will provide for me and this baby and I will receive the things I need when I need them.

Baby is due Sept 15. DH is being awesome and supportive too. God has just been good to us.

Congrats! I am due early to middle May.

You still bf your DS? Because my DD will not get off and it's getting to the point where my nipples are not in favor, but she's having 2.5 year old sleep regression issues which is normal. I guess I shouldn't complain because I believe in extended breastfeeding and preach it when on my LLL rounds.

Praying for your health, and the well-being of your family.

Praying this for both of you! Congrats!
Get out your bible and see what He says. Pray to Him right now and ask Him for His wisdom in the matter. He will not fail you if you put your faith and trust in Him.

That's what every first-born child loves to hear! :)

Congrats.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Jokerman you must be the second born. ;-) As I get closer to my due date I will have to have you all pray for my labor and delivery. My last delivery was over 40 hours. It started out well but got pretty obnoxious in the last 12 hours. It's a good story at least.
