How do I edit or remove a post?

Postby Paul B » Sat Mar 13, 2004 3:07 pm

You may edit or remove your own posts with the buttons found in the upper right corner of the post. The X button will delete the post (after you confirm the action). The edit button will open the posting window with the post in it. You may edit, preview, and submit as desired.

I just checked this as a user with no "extra" privileges, and this is not what I saw. I have, in the upper right corner of my posts, three buttons labeled "quote" "edit" and "X"

And it should have the post as originally written. Make changes and click submit.

Use the "X" button. I do see that I'm only allowed to delete my most recent post - need to fix that!

You have it fine, but you need to unselect "Disable BBCode in this post" for it to work. I did that on your post above and it's fine now.

Just click the "report post" button in the thread and the mods to delete it for you.
