What does [edit] in a post mean?

Postby Paul B » Fri Mar 12, 2004 8:36 pm

In an attempt to avoid unnecessary offence, we have a list of words which are automatically edited by the system. A few words are replaced by a word with a similar meaning, most are replaced with [edit]. It is also possible that a moderator manually edited a word, words, or a sentence. You should receive a PM when this happens, but it may not be received right away. We encourage you to use the edit button to modify your post so it says what you want to say without violating the rules.
