Erection Challenges?: Try THIS!!! (L-Citrulline)

Postby Hoosier52 » Fri Jun 07, 2013 9:37 am

I've read some older posts on this and been doing some reading online. Is anyone using this? Is it helpful? What dosage?

This sounds like a better remedy than the ED meds as it actually helps your body to produce NO.

Thanks!

I've been using this for a few days and it appears to be working. It naturally produces nitrous oxide without the bad side effects of L-Arginine. It is also supposed to help lower you BP. The only side effect I have felt is that it seems to make me sleepy.

Has anyone else tried this supplement?

I looked for it in our pharmacy, but couldn't find it. I found product that had some in it along with lots of other [edit]. Where do you get it?

You can get it here and shipping is free. I've ordered other items from them before w/no problems.

I'm wondering if one should get pills or powder.

Swanson has it, too. I bought mine at a local health food store. It is essentially watermelon. That's what the name means. I don't know how much watermelon you'd have to eat to get the same effect as a pill. I bought 750mg capsules and tale 2 per day. It is also good for after workout soreness.

I believe this stuff really works. Without TMI, I can tell a BIG difference. God provides in nature what the pharmaceutical companies can only hope to mimic. It's cheap and worth a try IMHO.

This supplement may very well be beneficial..when you mentioned watermelon.. I remembered this article I had run across a few years ago...

Dh has used both L- Arginine and L- Citrulline but did not really see any difference.

I think American's have been conditioned to go to the Dr. and get a prescription for every ill. I use generic ED meds, but I also believe in and use natural aids, such as L-Citrulline. I've read that L-Arginine can actually complicate matters by producing estrogen which negates testosterone in men? L-Citrulline seems to be the best precursor for Nitric Oxide and increased blood flow.

An update on my use of L-Citrulline. The men should at least try this. It is inexpensive and it works. I take a 750mg capsule at night and in the morning. It is also helpful with muscle soreness after working out. There are no published side-effects.

Since this is an info board, I am hoping more men will try it and tell us the results. It could benefit a lot of marriages.

Thanks!

I bought some of this for DH but he wanted to try the T-cream stuff I bought him for a month first and see how that worked (and it is working very very well so if it's a placebo effect, YEAH for placebos!!!) and then add in this so he could tell what was doing what to his body. He'll start the L-Citrulline tomorrow.

It would be great if a lot of husbands tried the L-Citrulline so we could see if it really works or not. It is inexpensive if you buy it through Swanson, making it a safe and cheap remedy.

DH actually started using it today, not at the end of July as he had originally planned. The T cream is working like a DREAM! Since it was working so well after only a month, he wanted to see how well it worked after 2 months. DOUBLE DREAMY, I'm just sayin'. Good stuff.

Anyway, since it's obvious that the cream works very well, he's now adding in the L-citrulline w/the cream to see where that takes him/us. :D

I love watermelon. Maybe THAT's why sex is better in the summer :D.

I have some on order and will try it and report. Thanks to testosterone injections, I rarely have ED, but want to see what it does.

I was wondering the same thing, and a few minutes searching did not turn up a straight answer.

Using info from these two sites, I assumed that the watermelon meat has 4 times the water of the rind, and estimating the math in my head, I came up with 60 oz. of watermelon to get the same L-Cit as in one of my 850mg capsules. A very rough estimate, but I think it is safe to say that it would be very difficult to eat enough watermelon to make up the 1500mg/day that you are taking.

I am on my third day taking it, and no difference yet. It has to get converted to L-Arginine etc., so will give it some time.

Here's a link to the benefits and dosages of L-Citrulline. He also gives you ideas on how much watermelon you'd have to eat to equal the supplement dosage. It's not as much as you think.
