No Erection Problem, Just won't last that long

Erectile disfunction, premature ejaculation, delayed orgasm, etc.

Postby micah68 » Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:38 am

Know this is an old thread, but we have been searching for information on "sustaining." One of the previous posters said something about an increase in frequency helping the man last longer. Any other confirmation of this, and how does it work? (Or, conversely, why does lower frequency result in not lasting as long?) While we generally have a great time when we do ML, for various reasons we aren't very frequent (as in once a month or less).

I recently have been having trouble in this area. I ready a book recently call, "Better Sex Naturally" which discusses taking natural herbs to help withe the sex drive. I have been taking Ginko Biloba and he has really helped my sex drive. I get harder faster and last longer. I highly recommend it. 8)

Some observations

Postby 1956Vintage » Fri Aug 22, 2008 2:39 pm

I know this is an old thread, but is still relevant.

Here are some empirical observations from our "R&D" :D over the last few months:
Maintaining an erection:
1) Contrary to an earlier post, Cialis (and probably Levitra and Viagra) actually DO help in maintaining an erection; and a better quality erection. This is from experience. BUT, you do have to balance this with the side effects, and the idea that you're putting stuff into your system.

2) More 'stimulation' prior can help; I won't go into details, but suffice to say that 'she' can assist greatly in this
I've also found that when she 'tweaks' me in various ways throughout the day that the stimulation is cumulative.

3) A 'ring' can help greatly in both quality and maintenance; I can't vouch for the rest of this site, but it was the first site that came up when googling for "Lasso [edit] ring" that didn't have nudity or other porn:
http://www.nawtythings.com/toys/se1408_01.html
There are other versions of this, but the plain latex tubing with a large bead seems to work about the best, as it can be adjusted for optimum restriction, but backed off to avoid pain.

PE:
1) (Now, I don't understand how this can be, but...) The additional stimulation, especially of the glans actually helps. (And I'm talking EXTREME stimulation!!!) It's counterintuitive to me, and YMMV, but there it is; it works for me. (Okay; and for HER too!!!)

2) The ring also helps GREATLY here. So much, so that it may be a little difficult to actually climax.

Anyhow, that's what we've discovered through much laborious experimentation (hoping to do a lot more in the next 36 hours, too).

Viagra to help maintaining erection

Postby Agent007 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 9:55 am

From experience, I have to agree with the post above. In my case Viagra definitely helps sustain the erection. I first sought the help of Viagra 4 years ago when I was having difficulty getting erect but more frustratingly lost the erection after starting intercourse. My ED is likely caused by the anticholesterol and BP medications. In my case Viagra or Levitra work equally well, but I have had no success with Cialis. I prefer Viagra since the 100 mg tab can be cut into fourths which is the dose that works great for me. I am 65 yrs old. I have been able to use Viagra with hardly any side effects.

Do you mean that the penis ring actually helped you to go for longer before ejaculating? I've never heard of this. Has anyone else had this experience?

That's been my experience. I think it stems from 2 things. First, by keeping the penis extra hard, I actually have a little less sensation near the urethra, which forestalls ejaculation somewhat. Second, I found that the extra pressure behind the scrotum seemed to surpress the impulse to ejaculate. The effect varied from slight to significant, but was also sporadic.

I've actually not used the ring much lately, as we've gone to early morning 'fun', when I'm naturally more prone to erection (at least MOST days!). Also, we adopted a new variation on missionary that greatly assists in prolonging the time until ejaculation. It's very pleasurable, but does not stimulate the 'orgasm trigger' spots for me.

When you mention pressure behind the scrotum, is that because the ring goes around your scrotum as well as the base of the penis?

Would you mind expanding on that a little? What position are you using?

Thanks for answering my questions, I've never considered this a potential way to help with PE.

You're welcome! I've also PM'd you with a lot more detail, but here's the short form for general consumption:

Yes; I use the kind that goes behind the scrotum. The only one that works for me is called the 'Lasso', which is simply some latex surgical tubing forming a loop through a wooden bead.

The position is called "Reverse Jockey" or "Inverted Jockey".

(Side note: Funny story. When Glen Campbell turned 50 he joked about the effects of age. He said I can still play basketball, and I can jump just as high. I just can't stay up as long! OK it was funny then... guess you had to be there.... Carry on.)

Yes; and as Toby Keith says, "I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was"...

I have been having the same problem lately. I have no problem getting an erection...but it just doesn't last. It is frustrating. I just don't know what to do!

Pull out. Ask DW to "get you worked up" again. Then wait till she's done what needs doing with her hand or mouth, and enter her again whenever Sgt Woody returns.

Thanks for the suggestions. It just stinks. It never used to be that way.....I can't think of any reason it is that way. I am still pretty young....workout alot....healthy. Been thinking about having my test levels checked. But at 37.....I wouldn't think they should be low.

You would be surprised... it is a malfuction that causes the levels to be low and that can happen at any age. Dh an i are on a forum that deals with this and there are several posters on there that are in their 20's with low t

I thought of something today....the only thing I can think of that has changed. I am on BP meds (low dose 10mg). Lately I have not been taking them regularly (yes...I know that is bad...no reason really). I am wondering if this could be a possibility? I started taking them again today and will get back on schedule, like I am supposed to. Other than that.....if it doesn't help, I guess I will chat with my doc next time I go. But I wouldn't think that would make a difference.....I had heard just the opposite.

Some BP meds contribute to this, but not all. I use Lotrel for BP, it has never had any effect on erections for me. Check with your doctor about it.
